When I read the theme, I thought of the oil bath pearls my daughter gave my wife for Mother's Day. Little did I realise that it would take so many shots. I tried everything from lighting from below using a light-table through to painting them with a torch. Single layers, piles and individual beads, eventually I settled for this version.
