For nearly 3 weeks this August, my family and I joined my brother-in-law, wife and son and another couple and their two children for the most remarkable holiday we have ever had. We decided to safari through Botswana's wilderness treasures in 3 4x4 vehicles, with tents on the roof, camping in the Game Reserves and traversing some of the most enjoyable 4x4 terrian you could hope to find.
Over the next little while I'll lead you through a photo journey of this remarkable country, sharing a few of the better photographs I took and hopefully some insights into this region.

Thanks Ian! Your pics and site are excellent! We're leaving for Botswana in 3 days, more or less the same route that youre describing! with digital cameras, laptops, power supplies and inverters galore .. so glad I came onto your site and pics.. Keep it up! Dani.
